Bryan Moyer Suderman
God's Love is for Everybody is a kids album produced by Bryan Moyer Suderman, and funded by Mennonite Church, Canada. Bryan wrote most of the songs, sings, and plays 9 different instruments over the course of the CD (a mere sampling of his instrumental repertoire). The album is a collection of Christian songs played in a variety of folk styles. Parents will be happy to know that there are no annoying, cartoon voices on this CD, and kids and grownups alike will enjoy it. I pitched in by playing my hammer dulcimer on tracks 16 and 17, my mandolin on tracks 4, 5, 8, 11 and 12, and making my recording debut on the jaw harp on track 14.
Bryan's website is www.smalltallmusic.com. You can get the CD there, and check out his other projects.
Road Less Travelled (Doug and Jude Krehbiel)
I feel like I've known Doug and Jude for most of my musical life. I met them shortly after I began writing and arranging my own songs, and we would jam from time to time. In college, we formed a band that lasted about a year. I don't think we ever actually performed anywhere, but we had fun getting together to play once a week.
Let it Flow Through You is a Christian/Peace and Justice collection of songs done in folk styles from around the world including American Bluegrass, Reggae, Native American, African-American, Hispanic, and the list goes on. They have a group of hard-hitting musicians helping them out along the way, including some of my good friends Josh Piper (piano), Jesse Graber (fiddle), John Carper (cello), Stephanie Griffin (vocals), and Ted Krehbiel (drums). I helped out by playing dulcimer reggae-style on track 5, and bluegrass-style on track 9.
